Bones To Buff
Affiliate Linking and Site Generation
As a part of being a certified Bones To Buff Affiliate you will also own an affiliate link that directs the potential clients to the Bones To Buff sales page along with your tracking ID. The link will look something like this:
Basically, your Clickbank ID that you use to sign into your Clickbank account should be inserted where the “YOURAFFILIATEID” is placed in the link above.
Most people who are online these days and searching for a product to purchase will more than likely get turned off when they see an ugly link like the example I gave previously. Not only that, but more often than not, people who realize they are purchasing through an affiliate link will either decide not to purchase or they will delete your tracking code. Not good!
After all, you want to get paid for you hard work right?
Don’t worry, there is a simple workaround solution that many top fitness marketing affiliates are using that helps to ‘hide’ your affiliate link.
The solution is to ‘Cloak’ your links which basically means you are going to hide or mask them using a unique domain that you will purchase.
For example, some of the ideas you could pick from are:
Basically, you would first get your Clickbank account setup and create your Affiliate ID (Clickbank sign in ID).
Then you would create your unique affiliate URL by inserting your Affiliate ID in the following link where the XXXX appears.
Next you would purchase a domain name that is unique to this particular program. You can purchase very low cost domains from http://www.GoDaddy.com (no affiliation) using the examples from above as a reference for your own link.
After purchasing a link, you will need to go sign in to the same account from which you purchased your domain name from, and then find out how to ‘Forward’ that domain. If you are using GoDaddy, you can find out how to forward a domain by visiting the following site: GoDaddy Forwarding a Link.
Once you find out how to forward the domain, you would insert the customized affiliate link into the ‘Forward’ box and save your settings and it should not take too long for the settings to apply.
Then you can use your domain name in your campaigns instead of the long and ugly affiliate link you started off with.
Which would you prefer?
If you are like 99% of the people out there, I am assuming you picked the 1st link!
I can guarantee you will see many more clicks on your link by doing this one tip alone.
