Upper Chest Workout – The 3 Best Upper Chest Exercises

In this upper chest exercise video, I will introduce you to the 3 most important mass building exercises to work your upper chest area.

The exercises will still work your overall chest, but they will place more emphasis on the upper chest muscles.

Most people struggle to make gains in this area of their chest and it is because of many reasons.

For one, most people don’t know which exercises really work the upper chest muscles.

Another reason, is people go too heavy when lifting which places the stress on the shoulders due to improper form when handling a weight outside of their limits.

In order to build the upper chest, you need to be including these 3 exercises in your program or a combination using at least one.

Incline Barbell Press: You will want to setup a bench on a slight incline by about 30 degress. Anymore tends to involve the shoulders more which is not our intent.

Pick a weight that will allow you to fail between 8-10 reps using good form.

Incline Dumbell Flys: Setup a bench to the same 30 degree angle you used for the incline barbell press and grab a set of dumbbells this time to use for chet flys.

Pick a weight that will allow you to fail between 8-10 reps.

Low Pulley Cable Crossovers:

Adjust the cable pulley to the lowest setting.

Then after attaching the handles on the cables, pick a weight that will allow you reach about 8-10 reps.

Don’t go too heavy on this one because doing so can result in your arms and shoulders taking over and this will lessen the stress placed on the upper chest.

Include any or all of these exercises in your next chest workout to start seeing a bigger fuller upper chest.
