Upper Chest Workout – Upper Chest Superset Training

In this upper chest exercise video, I am going to show you how to incorporate superset training to work your upper chest area.

The exercises will still work your overall chest, but they will place more emphasis on the upper chest muscles.


Most people struggle to make gains in this area of their chest and it is because of many reasons.

For one, most people don’t know which exercises really work the upper chest muscles.

Another reason, is people go too heavy when lifting which places the stress on the shoulders due to improper form when handling a weight outside of their limits.

In order to build the upper chest, you need to be including a combination of the right exercises as well as different training styles

This video demonstrates how to utilize superset training using the Incline Dumbbell Press and the Incline Dumbbell Flys.

You can also use different variations such as replacing the Incline Dumbbell Press with an Incline Barbell Press and you can use cables for the flys instead of Dumbbells.

Essentially, what you want to do, is get setup first.

Get the bench setup on an incline, then grab two sets of dumbbells. One set for your presses and one set for your flys.

Start by doing 8-10 incline presses, then immediately after fininshing your set, begin performing incline dumbbell flys for about 8-10 reps.

The advantage to performing a superset is that you will pre-fatigue the muscle using a compound exercise then you will further fatigue slower twitch muscle fibers with an isolation exercises in your pre-fatigued state.

Including an upper chest superset in your next chest workout will help you build a bigger fuller upper chest.
